IT WILL HELP EASE TRAFFIC ON ELDORADO PARKWAY.
"WE ESTIMATE ABOUT 50 TO 60,000 VEHICLES PER DAY. THAT’S A LOT OF TRAFFIC." WHEN THIS LAST SECTION IS COMPLETE, DRIVERS WILL BE ABLE TO TRAVEL BETWEEN FM 423 & COIT ROAD ON PANTHER CREEK PARKWAY.
AS THE MASSIVE BEAMS GET PUT INTO PLACE, THE BRIDGES START TO TAKE SHAPE.
"IT TAKES ABOUT 2 TO 3 MONTHS TO INSTALL THE BEAMS." ONCE THE BRIDGES ARE FINISHED, PAVING WILL BEGIN, FORMING THE 2-MILE STRETCH OF ROADWAY.
“AT THE END OF THE PROJECT THERE WILL BE A HILLY ROADWAY. IT’S GOING TO BE BEAUTIFUL WHEN WE’RE DONE WITH IT." THERE WILL ALSO BE A HIKE AND BIKE TRAIL UNDER ONE OF THE BRIDGES AND ANOTHER ALONG THE ROADWAY TO CREATE FUTURE TRAIL CONNECTIONS.
“IT’S TIME TO GET THIS BUILT.” THIS SECTION OF PANTHER CREEK PARKWAY COMPLIMENTS THE FIELDS DEVELOPMENT, UNIVERSAL KIDS RESORT AND A FUTURE CITY PARK.
THE PROJECT COST ABOUT $55 MILLION. IT'S FUNDED BY BONDS AND ROADWAY IMPACT FEES PAID BY DEVELOPERS.
TXDOT WILL REIMBURSE THE CITY UP TO $30 MILLION THROUGH A FUNDING AGREEMENT.
“I THINK THERE WILL BE A LOT OF PEOPLE USING IT. THEY’RE EXCITED JUST LIKE US.” THE FINAL SECTION OF PANTHER CREEK PARKWAY IS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETE AND OPEN TO TRAFFIC BY FALL 2025.
